I had an excellent day at Hunslet Carr Primary School, which held its Culture Day today. It was incredible to see all the children so exciting to learn about different cultures and religions.
They had lots of excellent questions for the visiting faith leaders, and we're engaged – and on such a warm day.
Well done to both staff and children!
It reminded me strongly that hate and intolerance (practically with the events of the last month) isn’t natural – we learn it by the walls we build.
If The Great Get Together and Jo Cox’s life and work teach us anything, it's we should be more like the kids in school today.
To love learning something new, sharing our world and experiences with each other, and irrespective of what differences we have, learn to play together regardless - because we do have more in common.
